Worried your dog needs to stay on the lead? Believe it or not, most of the images you see here are taken with dogs on a lead!

While it is nice for your pet to be photographed without a lead or collar, most of the images you see here are taken with dogs on a lead. With a bit of magic and photoshop, no one would ever know! Collars and harnesses will be left on for some of my more natural adventure shots, this can be discussed prior to your shoot. Please be aware that I am unable to remove larger hardnesses. Your dog will need to be on a regular collar or slip lead if you would like these removed.

Viewing & Design Appointment

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

On Location

Editing, Printing & Delivery

Each selected photograph will receive a final edit using photoshop & Lightroom in my personal style. This process can take a couple of days depending on how many shots are chosen. Once completed I will contact you to confirm your order has been sent for printing. Orders usually take between 2-3 weeks for delivery and will arrive straight to your door.

YOUR ARTWORK, YOUR WAY

Whether you are interested in a gallery collection or a single statement piece, I will help you select the right artwork for your home. The experience isn’t to create just photographs but, to create art that matters to you, art that fills your heart with happiness and takes pride of place in your home.

DISPLAYING YOUR IMAGES

It’s a good idea to think about how you might like to display your chosen images. Are you thinking of a large statement piece for the living room? Or maybe a smaller gallery collection for the hall or kitchen? Either way, it’s important to consider size, style and colour when making your choice. If you are considering a framed wall art piece, consider a frame colour to compliment your decor or, chose a neutral colour that will give your the option to display your art anywhere and also covers you should you decide to re-decorate. Size is also essential when considering where to hang you art work, you don’t what that gorgeous image of your fury friend to look lost in a large space. Have a walk around your home and decide where you would most like to see your art work. The image below should help give you some idea of scale.

LOCATIONS

Years of photographing landscapes around South Wales has allowed me to create a list of great locations for you to choose from. These spots have been carefully selected because they guarantee lots of variety. There are four local locations to choose from, but if there is a particular location not listed that you would like to have your session, please contact me first to discuss. I am happy to travel to other suitable locations anywhere within the UK.

(All dogs, regardless of training level, will be photographed on-lead in urban locations. If required, they can also be photographed on-lead at parks, woodlands etc. Leads can be removed during editing, so it doesn’t impact the photographs and the safety of your pet remains top priority!)

Roath Park Lake

This site is listed on the Cadw Register of Landscapes, Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales. North of the lake, its winding paths and wildflowers are shaded by trees and to the South of the dam, the ‘botanics’ contains a superb tree and shrub collection, with numerous floral displays giving . This location provides the opportunity for a nice variety of images.

Fforest Fawr & Cardiff CASTEL

Fforest Fawr woodland is near Castell Coch with three walking trails from the car park including a sculpture trail for families, and another walking trail from the Castell Coch car park. It is a mixed woodland with patches of bluebells, wood anemones and wild garlic.

The woodland is frequently used as a film location for productions with scenes from both Merlin and Sherlock shot here.

Margam Park

Margam Park is home to a stunning, Grade 1 listed 19th Century Tudor Gothic Mansion, which is surrounded by beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers, classic and modern planting, lakes and long vistas which have evolved since medieval times. There are also ruins, which are great for unique images. There is so much on offer at this park we will be able to create an amazing variety of photographs for you to choose from.

Dunraven Bay & Ogmore-by-Sea

Dunraven Bay is also often referred to as Southerndown beach taking its name from the nearby village. The walled gardens and Dunraven Castle ruins are well worth a visit and set just back from the beach. This beach is a great for fossils and has some of the best rock pools along the coast. It has a sandy beach, large car park and visitor facilities.

Ogmore-by-Sea is a popular sand and shingle beach along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, with the sandy part exposed at low tide. The mouth of the River Ogmore runs into the sea over the beach, to the north of the town. Dogs are also allowed year round.

If there is a particular location not listed that you would like to have your session, please contact me first to discuss. I am happy to travel to other suitable locations anywhere within the UK. Send me your idea using the Contact Me form and I will contact you to discuss.
